Would it be possible to add "Go back" button to the scenario selection window? I find it annoying that every time I want to go back to the previous menu I have to close the game.

It may not be the most intuitive thing, but you return to the previous frontend screen via the Esc key. (This is documented somewhere in the Manual.)
