I noticed on a World War II scenario, the Vichy French surrendering, and at some point becoming allies. Does anyone know how this works in relation to the event editor?

I sure can't remember exactly which scenario it was, my apologies, as I would have to go back and play several of the European theater scenarios to find out. I guess my question would be is it possible to have a designated formation(s) change sides at some point during the battle.

I have this idea of a scenario of the European theater, and once the Germans surrender, the Soviet Union launches an attack on the United States. I don't know if this is possible within one scenario. If possible, it would make an interesting game, as I would probably set a percentage value that this would occur in the event editor.

You can't switch sides, but you can build the same force for both sides. For example, make a Soviet Allied force, then withdraw it when Germany surrenders. Make a Soviet Axis force, and have it arrive when Germany surrenders. Can be a little sloppy.

In 1941-45 East Front scenarios the Romanians switch sides. Several scenarios have this modelled quite well
