Thought I was going well . played as german held the VP against a Russian onslaught .
turn 10 ended and felt pretty good about the result . German minor victory ?
At this point I decided to read the Victory conditions .

Nice, great, good...[&o]
I'm happy to do easy scenarios sometimes...[:D]
Do you have compare lags between this scenario and the original?

In the meantime, I also played it with the Germans: I had to manhandle two AT Guns to kill the last BA-6, as the 222's only managed to scratch its paint [:D]. Basically, I stood waiting for the Russians, and won with very few losses. I has to chase the armoured car to get the single VP I needed for a Major.
Playing the Russians is much more challenging: you have lots of AFVs, but C&C and Russian Radioless AFV greatly reduces their effectiveness. I made a concentrated attack south of the grain field using the AFVs to neutralise the German HMG and the infantry to kill the AT Gun. Then I swung north, enveloping the German trench: the northern German AT guns never had a chance to fire on my AFVs, as they were killed by MG and light mortar fire. The latter was also very effective against the Germans in the woods near the VP hex. I suffered heavy losses anyway, as much of the Russian infantry is made of SMG units, but c'est la guerre.
In the end, the scenario is quite easy when played with the Germans; with the Russians, it requires a bit of planning but it can be won.
I did not notice any lag at all [:)].
