Each of my unit icons is blank - it just shows the blue background for example for Sweden. On the map the units show normally in their boxes, but not in the bottom menu. Is there any way to fix that?

Re-installed the game, to no avail. Updated my drivers, didn't help either.

I have a Nvidia GTX960M and all the other AGEOD games work just fine.

EDIT: Tried to change the max. texture size to the very large textures setting but it doesn't accept it and reverts to the large whenever I exit the menu.

This is what the Great Northern War campaign looks like in the Beta when you first fire it up from the Swedish side:



Either the commercial release version isn't pulling in the images, or there's something slightly off with your installation.

If this were a Steam release I'd tell you to check the integrity of your local cache (which is a geeky way of saying have Steam make sure you have all the files you're supposed to have).

Try re-installing the game and see if that clears things up.

To clarify - this exists in every scenario no matter which side I'm playing. Also - Alea Jacta Est, Pride of Nations and Wars of Napoleon all work just fine.

Are you quite sure that the configuration that you're using for WSS is exactly the same as for the other Ageod games?

Yes, I'm using the exact same settings.

Try installing the game with Windows running in safe mode.
