Update 5/3/24: After all these years I'm getting back into the game and finally got the mod fixed. I've also uploaded a national Germany flag version for anyone who might prefer that one. Just it put in C:\User\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War in Europe\Mods and activate it in the game settings.

I just bought Strategic Command and one of the first things I always do when purchasing a new WWII game is modding in the historical German flag, I’m not a nazi but it’s almost become a requirement for me to play any WWII game, whether you like playing as the Axis or Allies..it adds to the historical immersion and roleplay, imo. Technically the true historical german flag was the off centered plain nazi flag but when modding I like going with whatever theme comes with the game. I re-uploaded the mod with a slightly improved small German flag. I think this one looks a little better.

Your mod won't work propper with me...
