Kasserine - Can the Allies win?

Good evening,
Having tried this from the Axis point of view - using General Staff's guide to give me some pointers - I'm flipping sides and seeing if I can hold on as the Allied player.
Here is a look at the terrain.

The Axis forces - as I just played this I have a good idea of what I am up against.

My expectations of what the Axis player is going to try to do.

Start of day 3 - 16 Feb
Really, this is the start of my turn - so the Axis player has had three turns already.

Nice screenshots, they show the situation very clearly.

Olorin,
Thanks, taking the time to do this helps me figure out my plans. Plus, it helps me ask questions when I have problems or do not understand something.
Here is a look at the situation on Feb 20.

Things are starting to unravel. The Axis attacks are unrelenting and very successful. My forces are getting pushed around by the Germans across the entire front.

It got worse from there. I thought thinks were going alright and then it fell apart.
The Axis player was able to get a lot more out of the attacks and push my units back and then gain advantages over the next unit - by the end, they had pushed me off both passes and Kasserine. The game went longer than expected - which I thought might happen - and that did not help, but I was thumped.
I know that a couple of times, I was convinced I was going to win. I thought that the Axis player had run out of steam and that by entrenching I could easily hold them off - wrong. I did not take any screen shots as I got caught up in the game and kept trying to hold onto something as things spiraled out of control.
I'm going to try this again to see if I can do better.
Worse luck, I did not save it at the beginning of turn 7 - so I have to go back to turn 3 to try this again.
Oh well, failure is how we learn....

So, I went back to the turn 3 save, which was really the end of the US turn save.
Here is a look at the end of turn 4

I think that I am in trouble again. The Germans in the West will soon be able to swing towards either Tebessa or Kasserine and I have nothing left to stop them or plug the gap...

I'm not happy with how this is turning out...

I found this scenario very frustrating as the Allied player. I got a draw, but that I feel was just luck. The Axis player was in complete control.
I obviously have more to learn!
