I know this is subjective but I was wondering if anyone has a preference on playing styles with the game and player options?

As I don't like to be frustrated when playing wargames, I play with FOW off most of the time [8D]
Shameful I know.

I prefer gaming with all the new changes, bells and whistles, it's a new version. Unless it's contraindicated in the scenario, and even then, it has to have a good reason.

I like to set the PO to as hard as it will go without the cheats of course. There's no impossible setting
or I'd probably use that.
