pilots

Hallo,

currently i'm playing Torch to Tunisia with the latest public beta patch.
It is immpossible to add pilots to my airgroups.
There are over 2000 in the trained pilot pool. When I click the "get trained crew" line the number of trained pilots decreases by one but no new crew is added to the squadron.

Can you attach a save or email one to 2by3@2by3games.com and tell us a unit you aren't able to add pilots to so we can see what's going on. Thanks.

It is the same problem for every allied squadron.

I attached two turns.
Turn 8: The pilot replacements are working fine.
Turn 9: With the start of the year 1943 pilot replacements are no longer accepted.

I can duplicate the problem in your save. I can't duplicate it in my last test save on the same date. I will get this entered into our bug list so it can be looked at. In the meantime I suggest you continue on and rely on the automatic systems to bring in the needed pilots. Thanks a lot for attaching the save so we can duplicate this.

I was able to replicate it. It is indeed got stuck due to the bug in the pilot replacement routine, when list of active pilots is "terminated" by "inactive" pilot with kills (in this case it is captured pilot).

You can try to rerun turn 8 and see if it is still stuck on turn 9. Make pilot replacements for the recon/patrol air groups.

Alternatively I can clean up your save, but it can get stuck again if last pilot on the list with kills will get captured or killed.

As I can see this bug was there for some time already, so it must be not so probable as there were no major pilot replacement issues reported.

Yes, rerun of turn 8 fixed the pilot replacements for now.
