The Silent Service, the fourth standalone expansion for CMANO, will put you in charge of some of the most challenging submarine operations ever undertaken after World War II.

Every scenario has been meticulously designed in order to push to the limit your command skills and iron nervs. Wether your objectives are to sink a precious convoy while remaining undected or to take part in defending from enemy intrusion, you'll witness what submarine warfare really means.

Today, we will cover some of these missions, along with a couple of nice in-game briefings, created exclusively for this thrilling expansion! Kudos to the devs for the great work with them!

Cool!

I'm keeping an eye on the mission duration. Speed=Noise=Death in sub ops and the temptation to sprint can become quite pressing depending on how the scenario is played out. Looking forward to trying them!

Thanks for the interesting info on the upcoming expansion. Would be cool to see scenarios in which we would be able to play as a Soviet/Russian antiship SSGN.

Wow, this pre-release stuff seems to be arriving faster than normal, does this mean we can expect release pretty soon (Assuming no serious issues with the 1.14 beta)?

Isn't one of the two detailed briefings specifically about that?

When it says maintain a depth of no less than -1000', does that mean stay in the 0 to -999' window, or the -1001 to [max depth] window?

It is mean depth between 0 (surface) and -999ft.

Oh wow, that is confusingly worded then. "Depth no less than" is logically equivalent to "depth equal to or greater than" so I read that as keep you depth to 1000 or more. Then I saw the minus sign...which is also confusing since depth is already implied to be a negative measurment.

So I guess CMNAO really just "thinks" in terms of altitude, where measurments above sea level are positive numbers and below sea level are negative numbers...

I'm glad you all clarified this

Yes that is somewhat confusing language in the orders. It should say something like "Maintain a depth no deeper than -1000"

That sure is confusing. Sorry about that, fixed that one and went through the others to make sure it wasn't duplicated.

I've changed the wording to 'no deeper than'; it's easy for me to change it again if this is still not clear.

Open to suggestions [:)]
