I entered a challenge for the Korea 1950-1953 scenario more or less on a lark
without a password and less than half an hour later I'm getting an email that
the game has started. Cool. The PBEM++ system is working like it's supposed
to. I have no idea who Andy77 is but I think he lives in Russia. Coolness.
Anyway, he's playing the NKPA and I'm playing the UN side and this is the first
turn results. Andy has evaporated most of my defending units and is streaming
south like there's no tomorrow. I've got my hands full from the start of the
game.

Here's my initial moves. I've got to pull back the units in the north and move the units in the south up to help out.

There's a special house rule against putting the B-29's on CS missions but I can
attack units directly with them but I've got them on INT missions right now to see
if I can't slow down the movement of the NKPA going south. I have no idea what the
enemy air fleet looks like. I'll have to start a hot-seat game and take a look at
the NKPA air force later.

Sometimes I can get a rough idea about the force if I scan the inventory, and this is some of the losses so far.

Andy is continuing to send units to the south, railing them from the far north and
surrounding my defenders and converting hexes and I'm blowing bridges as fast as I
can get to them.

Here's the T2 situation...I've got a shock penalty difference and there's no sea cap
or rail cap and the theater reon level is only 10% so I can't see very far. His units
could be nearby and I wouldn't know. A lot of my units are surrounded or in reorg and
can't move so there's not much for me to do this turn.

I got three RCT's as reinforcement so I moved them north to act as roadblocks and
flew all the aircraft to South Korea, Puson, and Taegu and I moved some HQ units
to the open port hexes on the west side of the peninsula to discourage any sea-borne
attacks. There's a carrier group that I've got on the east side of the island to
attack out of the sun in the morning heading west and then in the evening the
attack heading would be to the east to attack out of the sun again. That's the
theory.

Of the three attacks I have scheduled this is the most important one. I'm targeting
a large stack of NKPA equipment with my B-29 squadrons, both of them, and despite the
INF and ARTY and HQ units in the hex, I'm really after the rail repeir dudes. If I
can kill those he can't repair any rail and that would determine who wins the war fairly
quickly because I can use the B-29's to drop some bridges in his rear to disrupt the
flow of supplies.

I sent the A-26 squadron after the arty in a small stack on the east coast and lost
a plane for no hits at all. I'm wondering about the bloodyness of the attrition
slider for this scenario. I would have thought I'd have gotten a hit on SOMETHING.

EDIT: There were no NKPA airplanes in the skuffle so I'm thinking he's stood down
his planes.

I launched CAG 5 on another stack of NK stuff and actually got some hits. Again the
NK air force didn't show. I lost another plane though. I can replace the other one.

Forty seven B-29's attacked a large stack of Communist stuff and didn't hit anything
at all. There's something wrong with this scenario, definately. I should have hit
something after all. The bloodyness slider isn't set right or something.

Here's what it looks like at the end of the combat replay. He's mopping up my remnants
and railing in a lot people to the south. This scenario needs more boats, Allied boats.
As it is I've got but one naval group and it's mostly a CV and I can't attack with it.

Here's what I'm doing with my planes right now. I'm hoping there won't be any furballs
because I've got but a single squadron on AS right now.

This looks like the best I can do right now. I'm expecting some more reinforcements
and I'll put them on the east coastal road.

Andy continues to move his troops south and he's pushing my units out of his way and
he's getting closer and closer to Pusan. That's my alamo spot and I need to protect
that port if I can.

I received the 25th Division as reinforcements and I put them on the perimeter of Pusan
and the front line I'm building around the city.

Andy is making his way south mopping up as he goes. The troops that landed via the sea
are moving on Pusan.

I've still got something of a perimeter around the port. I've flown most of the planes
back to Japan and I'm using my boats to blockaid my ports and some of his ports. This
runimentry front line won't hold long.

Andy is still pressing my perimeter and he's reducing the pocket he's formed.

I heard a lot of train noises during the playback so I'm guessing Andy is moving a lot
of troops south still. I expect them to show up around Pusan soon. The perimeter is
shrinking slowly. More NK troops are appearing all the time.
