I'm thinking of taking on another game, this time playing as the Soviets. I am looking for a good (or very good) Axis opponent in a CG 41-45 game.
I have played a couple of campaigns as the Soviets (one against Pelton teaching me quite a lot), and I believe I have a sound basic grasp of the concepts of the game when playing the Soviets.
One thing: I'm looking for a game to go well beyond the fall/winter of 1941. So I will not give in at the first sign of trouble. If you wish to play only the fall of 1941, please do not apply for this game.
I am suggesting:
Normal Scenario (not Bitter End)
Random weather
No Soviet bonus and normal blizzard or +1 Soviet attack and mild blizzard,
I think I will be able to do an average of a turn pr week (not much, I know), and plan to do an AAR similar to the ones I have already done:
HardLuckYetAgain (ongoing, Playing Axis): tm.asp?m=4323091
Pelton (Playing Soviets): tm.asp?m=4120012
Hermann (Playing Soviets): tm.asp?m=4266269
Dontra85 (Playing Axis): tm.asp?m=4311444
My suggestion for house rules as follows:
No Para drops
No bombing of HQ's unless stacked with a ground unit
No naval invasions before November 1941, none outside the 1939 Soviet borders before January 1943
In addition if Sevastopol is either isolated, or in German hands, none west of the Crimea.
10 day rule = no turns in 10 days by one player the other wins by default (unless notified of the delay by pm).
New Patches will be used as soon as possible.
Additional Auto VC:
Sudden death VC check at beginning of April 1942. If the Axis holds less than 191 Victory Points it is an automatic decisive Soviet Victory, if the Axis holds more than 242 Victory Points at the beginning of April 1942 it is an automatic decisive Axis victory.
