Are the icons displayed correctly?
Seems weird to me?

They are displayed correctly, yes.
There is a "coloured" enhanced toolbar coming with 2.01, which should be released in the next couple/few weeks.

Things are designed such that with Options > Toolbar > Small, the toolbar will extend in a single row across a 1920x1080 display.
With the larger toolbars -- Standard, Large -- and/or at lesser screen resolutions, with so many toolbar buttons, inevitably you will experience toolbar wrap, like you demonstrate in your screenshot. As Jason said, that is WAD.
