Just noticed that... bugger, I already blogged about it. The .html after the .zip kinda must have caused it. All save now?

@Jean: How do you, as Frenchman, see the struggle in Indochina and later Algeria? I somehow got dragged into it... so many interesting facets... less know to the public/wargamers, e.g. Operation Lea, Lorraine, the lot.

Merci!

Have you an English version of this scenario ?

I think that there are errors of localization :
Image

Cristane, unknown location (?) Martigues ? Marignane ?

River in Marseilles = L'Huveaune
The Durance itself is a tributary of the Rhône and flows into the Rhône near Avignon.

Sorry the map is already old, at that time there was only very undetailed maps available. It is also difficult to implement everything 1: 1. Today's maps can only partially be used as a comparison because a lot has changed over the decades. I apologize for the resulting inaccuracy.

I noticed that my former knowledge of the conditions were rather small. Since I now have more detailed information I will recreate the same scenario. So to speak V 2.0

There is a place essential to Marseille, it is the basilica Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde :

Here is a part of the new map for Marseille 2.0.
As a template was used material of the US Army Map Service 1943 in the scale 1: 10000
