Multiple displays?

Searched the forum on "multiple displays" but could not find any useful info.
Could you - experienced guys - provide me with links on the possibility of playing War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition on multiple displays/monitors?
I enjoy, for example, CMANO on 3 screens and now wonder if War in the Pacific can be played in a similar way or is it "only" utilizing 1 game-window? Sometimes even 1 window can be stretched, so any info on this would be much appreciated before I dig into this seemingly great game.

I have a dual display. But can use only the main screen when playing with full screen. However, in windowed mode I have access to my second screen which is helpful if you use tracker. But I don't think you can "stretch" the game window. Haven't heard of anyone doing so....GP

You can't even use WITP in a window on your secondary display. The graphics do not update.
So in short - no, although multiple displays is useful for out of game tools like notes and Tracker.

The game itself will only run on one monitor up to a resolution of about 3000x1500 from what I've heard. 1920x1080 is the highest res monitor I have, so I haven't been able to personally test these limits.
That said, WitP:AE is one of the few games where I always use all three of my displays - (1) the game (2) Tracker / Combat Reporter / Intel Monkey / internet browser (3) game planning map where I can write notes, as well as various reference documentation for the game

If you mean stretch to other monitors - no, I haven't heard of that being done either. Windowed mode can be resized to the full screen size a la the "borderless window" mode you see on more recent PC games. That way you get the fullscreen experience while having easy access to Tracker and whatnot.
You only need a method to move the game window up and to the left so that the game's title bar and window frame are moved off screen. I use Display Fusion to accomplish this, which automatically runs a script to move the game window as soon as I launch WitP:AE; the game gets moved 27 pixels up and 5 pixels to the left, to be exact. YMMV depending on your specific monitor.

A program like DxWnd will allow WITP:AE to run on non-main screens but..... DxWnd does not support high resolutions above 1280x1024.
Dang.... [:(]

Thanks guys, much appreciated, indeed!
A bit sad to hear about the limitations, but I guess with the game history in mind, multi-monitors was not on the agenda from the early stages of development.
It wont stop me from buying the game eventually, I think. At the moment very caught up with CMANO.
I like what you said Korvar, I might have it set up in a similar way. Thanks for sharing the tip.
I've also noticed (on youtube) that there are new (brilliant) background maps that differ from what I see on the official Matrix webpage. Do these "optional" (good looking) map mods alter the actual gameplay in any way (except for visuals)?
Thank you very much, gents, for taking your time to respond to a new (maybe) "Admiral" [:D]
