Spiritual successor to "Decision in the Desert" ? :-)

I have a special relationship to the desert war through one of the best strategy games ever. "Decision in the Desert" by Microprose in 1988 which I played on Commodore 64 casette for probably hundreds of hours. Supply, night and day cycle, experience, morale. Everything was there. Hoping this game will be as good.
