Desert War WEGO

Desert War has just been released. It is a WEGO system, however, nowhere near the complexity or flexibility of TOAW. My hope is that over time Desert War will experience the same community support as TOAW and grow to be a wargaming favorite.

Trying to decide which game to buy with my Anniv. Coupon...
WITP-AE is a good game for those of us that are OCD. If you'd like to spend
hours on end clicking on buttons to get things done that's the game for you.
It's kinda pricey but I personally feel that it's worth it in the depth of
detail you get. They have names for all the pilots of both sides for instance.
Every ship is represented by name. Leaders can be reassigned and replaced.
And it can be played a day at a time. That's over 1K turns for the entire
war. If I'm not playing TOAW I'm usually playing WITP-AE. I had heard about
the click-fest that it is and it stayed on my bookshelf over a year until I
finally loaded it on my hard disk and gave it a try. I regret waiting that long
to finally play it. I'm not quite a rookie any longer and I can play either
side now. Brian took me under his wing and taught me a lot about the game and
I'd like to publically thank him for that. It helped a lot. Now I want to
give back myself. It makes a difference to the person helped.
