Hello All,

Since few months I was thinking about making a campaign on Napoleonic area.
I decided to go on Penisular war period (1807-1814).
This will be kind of test before attempting a full European campaign (1805-1815)

The Map is Ready and OOB on going.
Map scale will be 20kms/hexes (covering whole Spain/Portugal and south of France)
New terrain type:
Low Hills/Rough (using available "Plateau" slot)
Light Woods (using availage "Jungle" slot)

Unit scale will be Brigade/Division

To make the Job easier there will be:
No research management
No diplomacy management

As it will be my first campaign Dev, Scripting and AI will be a challenge but I do expect to fix problems one after the other.

David Gates' book on the subject is very good, with lots of OOB in the back, I'd recommend it if you don't have enough already.

I'm speechless. When are you doing all this? New Nato Counter, giant map of Europe and now a whole campaign! Are you using our sound and graphic files from the unfinished North America campaign? Would make things easier, right? Have fun my friend...

Unfortunately I dont have this book (I simply use the title for the campaign as I think it summarize well the situation)
For OOBs I could find quite accurate data for French and Anglo portuguese, but for spanish its a little bit more "messy"
I mainly use Nafziger files as reference

I get more "free" time recently, and to be honest I didnt play SC3 for a while (too busy by files modding)
You forget to mention also the Battlefield Elite counters Mod that I will prepare soon after the new WW2 counters will be ready.

I didnt made that much progress on large scale Europe Map (except working on Spain area for this campaign).
Regarding graphic files and sounds I think I will keep the vanilla interface for the momment as I want to concentrate on campaign data only.
But later on I think your sound files will be usefull of course [;)]

I forgot to mention also that I work on a Boardgame mod (new tiles,terrain ect....)

I am still far from what you did achieve with your chinese campaign, but its on progress at least.

Yeah, I've made a lot of progress but there are SO many niggly-fiddlie things in front of me it's daunting. Stuff like:

making 3D sprites for Chinese and Japanese units (I personally have zero interest in 3D units, but others will probably expect them)

figuring out the AI scripts - I'm not even sure what, if anything, I need/should do in that regard (I also have little interest in the AI since I like to play vs human).

Figuring out how to score victory,

and so on...

Then, getting it to all work right, historically speaking [X(]

But, one step at a time

I just thought I would ask about the spelling of "guarnison". I assume it's French spelling of the English "garrison"? My French translation software, which is not always accurate, spells it "garnison".
However, whatever it is, and I admit it's a minor point, this mod looks outstanding, and I commend you for the work.
