Can anyone point to a thread or have information on why imported maps (striping out resources/etc.) doesn't work. Are there some customizations that would break the import? I tried to import a blank file with Earth and Milky way and it crashes. Is it possible to strip out races in the map?

I seem to recall someone else posting about using the Milky Way as a map and having difficulty. Not sure if it was ever resolved and have not been able to locate the thread.
