Error Failed(draw_unit_text_to_screen)

Hello,

I get an error message whenever I click a unit:
Error Failed(draw_unit_text_to_screen)

This happens in every scenario and all three games.

How can I solve this? I tried different compatibility settings but nothing helped.

The other strategic commands from Matrix are working fine.

Do you have a ATI Radeon graphic card?

Hello,

My graphics card is a Geforce GTX850M

I found a solution [:)]. In the settings menu you can disable the hardware acceleration. Now I can click on a unit and the error doesn't occur anymore.

So for everybody who has the same error. Disable the "hardware acceleration" in the game itself.

I can confirm this error, have been getting it since the release.

Edit: Disabling the video acceleration did the trick, although units and tiles I click on have a black background because of disabling it.

I got the game on Steam and when I turn off the video acceleration the game slows to a crawl and it is unplayable when clicking on a unit or trying to move a unit or trying to attack an enemy unit. This does not appear to be a workable solution: disabling the video acceleration. Any other ideas? I am trying to use 19 x 10 resolution.

Have encountered the same error, FAILED(draw_unit_text_to_screen): Segmentation violation, when clicking on a unit! :(

I just discovered that if I turn off the FULL SCREEN setting the crash stops. Try that. It allows you to keep the video acceleration which is vital in my view otherwise the game drags to a slog speed and is very unresponsive to clicking on units and so forth.

Again, I am installed on STEAM.

It doesn't matter if you have it installed in steam, that was the solution also for the battlefront release, so I'm pretty sure it will work for Matrix. I still haven't bought but I eventually will, even though I have all four games bought in battlefront. Hubert deserves it, and only saying good bye to Elicense is worth the extra money.

Hello,

For me the speed is just fine without hardware acceleration. So it seems that I’m lucky. I will definately try to turn off the full screen option.

So Many thanks for mentioning to turn off full screen. Its great to see that we all share the solutions.

Glad to hear the workaround is working for everyone and for the next update I've resolved the issue for the FULL SCREEN setting.
