Like the subject says:

I tried but cannot return lend leased aircraft, so I wonder what am I doing wrong?

How I tried to do it:
-during the production phase, on china's turn (or the US'),
-select the lend lease pool,
-select the striped aircraft, which is in China's force pool,
-select the matching American unit in the lend leased aircraft pool,

but there is never a button to 'return' or 'request' this aircraft.
This only happens with aircraft that are still in the source's force pool, so the receipient can ask for that aircraft.

Additional information: China is all but conquered. Version running 2.7.5
If you guys need a save, please say of what phase [8D].

You need to do it from the source country's production screen. Select the unit that was lent, then select the unit that was the source then click on Demand Return. See pic below.

If this doesn't work for you please post a save from the beginning of US Production.

It doesn't work for me indeed.
Please note that I am using version 2.7.5. so if you can do it with my save and you have a higher version, it's probably just that.

If not, it must be something else .
Then maybe MWiF is confused because the USA lent 1 P-40C to China and 1 P-40C to the CW. Or because the Chinese Capital is taken and China is eligible for Surrender... Just some thoughts.

The Chinese production phase has already past. The Chinese have to give back the unit, since they now own the unit (even if it is only in the force pools), I believe...

I can't do it in the Chinese production either. There's just no button to appear (apart from requesting other units).

Not that I'm in need of help, I can do without that additional P40-C flying around the Med.
But it may be a bug, if it's supposed to work like we're trying to.

I could not do it either - tried both saves. Might be as you said, the confusion may arise from one P40C going to each power.

It's up to Steve to fix this...
