One of these situations where the game was working fine yesterday, I did a windows update (Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803), and now DW won't start.

Specifically, it will pop up the window indicating the game is loading, appear to finish that, and I see briefly an Iphone/Droid looking black area in the middle of my screen, followed by a full screen black (lasts 2-3 seconds and then kicks to desktop with no DW running)

I have tried it with a clean Steam install with same results. Launching within steam or outside of steam makes no difference. Same process.

It does not appear that an error log file is created (that I can find anyway)

Any ideas?

Used the trick to go into startup.ini and set playmovie to 0 so the line is: playmovie 0 instead of the playmovie 1 and the game runs. FYI
