Hello all
Are there any trackers for Japanese industry or helper apps? I have a friend who is playing Japanese but wants nothing to do with the poor UI for the industry management system, so I was wondering if and where I can find some kind of helper for him?

I am said friend, anything to improve the clunky UI really, I feel like right now I could get a clearer picture with pen and paper than what this game's UI can show me. There's just so much data on screen with so little information at times, and the response times for buttons are really slow for some reason.

Here you go
https://sites.google.com/site/witptracker/
Plus there is a long running thread to help with any issues installing it.

The most important thing is that you need to have a 32-bit version of Java available to run WitP:AE Tracker.

What OS are you running it on? are you using Command Line Switches?

Not sure if it helps Win7. But it's required for Win8/10
tm.asp?m=4280684
Make a shortcut to "War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe"
Right click on shortcut then properties.
In your shortcut to C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe add the command line switches.
NOT THE AUTORUN SHORTCUT
Example:
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -SingleCpuOrders -deepColor -dd_sw -altFont

Same setup here, both game (with switches recommended above) and Tracker work just fine

Holy shit I think the shortcut parameters worked! A little let down by save tracker only making reading easier and not improving UI interaction, but this definitely makes everything better.

Good to hear. You may want to download and use the beta exe.
The screens have a lot of info EVERYWHERE. After awhile you will be able to glean them better.

You may want to download and use the beta exe.
This will mean a new directed Command Line Switch
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -SingleCpuOrders -deepColor -dd_sw -altFont

Oh, yeah! And don't let the first turn madness discourage you, it gets better. Even if learning never stops

You can just use the game menu's to get what you need. I play Japan and I've never used tracker. No troubles, but that could be just me.
Good luck, and have fun with the game.
