v2.8.4 Chinese Partisan Spawns in Free French Colony

I'm not sure about this one?

The Nationalist Chinese captured Hanoi from the Japanese who had previously aligned French Indo-China. This resulted in the "liberation" of Indo-China, which the Nationalist gladly returned to Free France. Two turns ago a partisan appeared for Indo-China. Not paying attention I just naturally assumed the partisan was Japanese. I mean, why should it's deep yellow color make me deviate from my assumption. [:D]

Anyway, just a few moments ago realized that this partisan is owned by the Nationalist Chinese who are allied with the Free French. Is this some weird logic in the rules or is this bug?

Got to be a bug since Indo-China is red on the partisan chart which means they oppose whoever controls the country. They will not ally or cooperate with anyone but should be controlled by Japan.

In theory you can't liberate Indochina in this case, because it was not conquered until Hanoi was taken by the Nationalist Chinese. But once conquered it can be reverted to FF and become aligned with FF under the Vichy rules, which amounts to the same thing.
