I have never played ASL or squad leader, and have left this game sit intimidated by all the ASL stuff.

Are there many playing with no ASL background? Manual, AARs, and some you tube enough to learn?

Thanks for any advice - great game, great developer, great folks on forum - I would love to join in.

Michael

I think a background in ASL can help in knowing how far a unit can move and its capabilities, etc., but because so much of the mechanics are now, finally computerized, it's finally gained the simplicity that ASL so desperately needed, and there have been posts herein from people that don't have that background but enjoy this game nonetheless. It's certainly simple enough now that I think the TotH manual ought to be enough for most novices.

Well, true Tigers on the Hunt is ASL inspired game however I have tried to make the game accessible to general wargamers , not specifically for ASLers.

There are quite a few AARs here: tt.asp?forumid=1579

Also there are quite a few youtube videos done by our great idjester fan of the game: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... n+the+hunt

cheers!

This game is made for the elite players, you will be alone to play, without any help, and in not understanding everything and every mistake will pay cash.[:D]
It's profoundly unfair but we like it and we do not want it to change.[8D]
