As the Germans approach Cairo after taking all three soviet capitals i strike there level 5 armour with x3 USA Tac bombers at level 3 and cant even scratch the paint. In fact my level three soviet infantry corps cant even get a result on the German level 2 Corps. I just find some games german units are near impossbile to damage let alone destroy and mine die all to easy. Ive got my intel at three, they are supllied...Is it down to national moral? German moral is 124% soviets are 81%. If thats the case you its impossble to reverse at this point as one needs to kill germans to do so....Any ideas on how i cant stop this from happening

Relative tech levels seem to make a huge difference...

What AA level where they at?

His panzer have level 2 AA....But my Russian Heavy tanks that sit in a City with level 4 AA and have Level 2 themselves evaporate when German Tacs Attack them...So i would of thought german panzers in open desert would burn at least alittle

You mignt try and go after the HQs first.

If you can't get to tbe HQs, then soften up with Arty or Medium bombers. Use the TAC bombers last. You need to teduce entrenchment and lower morale and readiness before using the TAC.

Never keep tanks in towns or cities. Ever. If your opponent does then you can attack them with infantry units.

Sometimes strat bombers can be useful that way if the target is not in a town/city/resource. Just remember that strat bombers are very expensive.

Also shore bombardment, particularly with naval weapons 1 or 2 BBs, against units on empty coastal hexes are very good at reducing morale and readiness.

Taxman i know Medium bombers are cheaper..But my thoughts where the Strategic bombers get two strikes, so one Strat can do the equivalent to two mediums? or is there more to it?

Strat bombers don't do as much per strike and when they get hit it costs more to repair. leveled Medium bombers will also do some (more) damage points as well.
If the defender is in a city, town or resource hex they are even less likely to do damage to the defending unit. I'm unsure if the defending unit takes morale/readiness damage in such cases as well.

Ok Didnt know that...So perhaps a balance of Strat and Medium as ive never bought medium as i havent seen the point
