2.8.9.4. Vichy Anti-Air Combat Bug.

1. It's a naval air combat in the West Med between Italy/Vichy and the RN.

2. I first get a message, which I failed to capture, that their are no units capable of fighting an air-to-air battle.

3. The next message, which I do capture and show, is that air unit belonging to the CW are receiving anti-aircraft fire.

4. However, the AA fire seems to be the CW firing against the axis and it's some impressive anti-aircraft fire. The lowest of 5 shots is a 6!

5. Anyway, the axis apply 5 of the 6 points to abort the Vichy NAV.

6. I return the aborted Vichy NAV to base and click the green button to continue, assuming that I'll be asked to reduce the Italian NAV bombs from 3 to 2 (i.e., 1 AA point remains).

7. However, the the AA form does not pop back up and I'm unable to proceed with the game.

The best solution I can think of for this and the other Vichy problems you posted recently... is to collapse Vichy. [:)]

Thanks! That may be the best solution to get around these bugs I'm encountering but an active Vichy is causing the allies a major headache in the Med as you shall see in my next AAR report burst. Also, I feel I'm helping with the "de-bug" running into to these bugs, reporting and posting game turns. [8D]
