I am new to the game but having a good time. Is there a trick to invading an enemy port/beachhead? I control the particular sea (Black Sea), have transports, and used an HQ command. All the units come up as having amphibious, but I click on a unit, then amphibious and the enemy port but it just tells me it is an enemy port (duh!). The only one that works is going straight to Istanbul, but that prevents landing because Gallipoli is not controlled. Is it just that Russia cannot invade by sea or am I missing something?

Wow - this takes me back a bit

IIRC there is a "hard link" between Gallipoli and Istanbul - you cannot invade Istanbul unless you hold Gallipoli - even if you are Russia.

Thanks. Can you invade another port in Turkey on the Black Sea or am I just stuck until I capture Gallipoli.

Are there other ports?? Don't recall - but I think the hard link is just between Istanbul and Gallipoli - you'll probably have to try it!
