1. Both Japan and Italy were completely conquered at the end of last turn.

2. China, who was only at war with Japan, now becomes neutral.

3. I really didn't even consider that, but when I select a land action for China the game crashes during the land movement phase for China (i.e., when I click on the Chinese flag to move their units).

4. I did email the crash report and turn, which I'll all attach the game turn in the next post.

5. I went back and had Germany DOW China and thought that would fix it, but it didn't. I'll also attach a game turn going back to the start of the turn.

6. The only work around I've found is for China to pass. Unless there's another workaround or fix, that means I'll have to go back to the start of the allied impulse and replay my turn to this point with China passing. But I'll worry about all that tomorrow after work ... I'm tired now and going to bed after I finish this post. [>:]

I would have thought that if China goes neutral, then the only allowed action types China should be allowed to select are either a Combined, or a Pass action. I noticed from your saves, that it's allowing you to select any action type. In fact I had noticed that you had selected a land action (in your first posted save).

Alas, choosing a Combined actions still causes the game to crash.

But is there any reason to do other than pass with China? I don't think it can do anything. It can't declare war - either on a minor a major power as far as I recall.

So only to position itself against a German attack - which is on the far end of the theoretical spectrum, I imagine.

After Japan gets conquered, the Chinese units can only be used for garrison duty. They are now a neutral country and not at war with anyone else.

So they should only be able to use combined actions...
