Port supply didn't drop after being blockaded by two ships

I was trying to impose a blockade on Axis ports in Africa (to prevent them from transporting units by making Axis ports have <5 supply). But even after having two naval units (battleship and battle cruiser I think) ending their turn near the Axis port, the supply did not decease until my next turn. The enemy was able to transport Mannstein into Africa as a result.

I thought that my two ships blockading a port would decrease supply at the end of my turn, not at the start of my next turn. Is this a bug or intended?

Hi

The presence of naval units around an enemy port just prevents the port from giving supply to enemy land units, it doesn't stop the port from being usable for loading/unloading.

Hi Bill,

what he meant is that he had two ships next to my ports (sieging them) but the supply didn't go down.

The supply went down the next turn; he should have attacked the port directly.
