Obsolete Maps

I've tried to use the downloaded maps but keep getting, "This scenario was created with the previous version of TotH Edit and is not compatible with current version."
Even the old maps supplied from TotH don't work. I doubt the editor will ever be backward compatible so maybe they should be removed?[&:]

when you upload the game, if you play an old map, the backup does not take and you end up with an error message like you had. You have to leave the game without saving, restart it, the game then works normally with the old maps.[8D]
Delete old maps? Are you crazy?[:D]

The error is misleading. It's not a scenario I'm trying to start instead, I wanted to load a map into the editor. Don't know why the error says scenario but it does.
None of the maps could be loaded to edit. Or maybe I'm using the editor wrong. I goto editor, then File, then Open. I scroll to the map folder in TotH then
select one of the maps that came with TotH like TOTH001.MAP or one of the many maps I downloaded. Select Open then I get that error about version incompatibility.
Is there another way to load maps for editing to create a scenario?[8|]

Ooops. Found out Open was not for maps but scenarios. Leave the maps![:D]

Thank you for being there Rico and for your [:)] Puallus. I'm so glad to be wrong. I don't have it in me to do the proper research to create a good scenario but then I don't have to.
People much more dedicated and smarter than me already did that so why not take advantage. I figure I could use the old maps to create scenarios
from the scenario sheets I have. All the research has been done so it just needs to be ported over to TotH. It's a lazy man's contribution, so be it![;)]

Thanks Hailstone.
Creating a scenario is more of faith than intelligence. You have to want to tell a story, the story of guys, big or small, in the middle of a story that goes beyond them, a battlefield, which we call here a map. To finish telling their story and thus pay tribute to them, you have to be motivated, inspired, have a gift what.
