Worried about longevity

I want to get TOAW IV after owning the other so long but I am worried about longevity. There are only so many creator made scenarios before you have to rely on playing untested, unbalanced community made scenarios.

Is there enough content in the game to keep it going for long?

Also do the big scenarios still NOT work when it comes to playing against the AI? I used to hate that the mammoth scenarios didnt work with AI on the old engine are we looking at the same issue?

The guys who made Directive 21 did a great job making a huge scenario with a good programmed opponent. There are others too. Ralph Trickey and Bob Cross have done a tremendous job bringing the game forward and will continue to add to it.

There are 1,000+ scenarios available, if you count the once that were made for the predecessors... most of them being adjusted (or in the process of) to TOAW IV. The community will always keep scenarios coming... I know... ever since I bought TOAW 20+ years ago :)

Some old old ones you got to convert and adjust... As for the huge collection, here it is:

So, what do you say? ;)

Not a worry. If there was only one game I was allowed it would be TOAW. I have been with it since the start and though I occasionally cheat on her with other games I keep coming back.

I got the game its great. But...how the heck do I UNSELECT a unit. No matter where I put my mouse I always have some movement trail popping up I want to get rid of that so I dont accidentally right click and move something

Can't do that... a unit is always selected. Most people eventually get use to that...

Here's another discussion on it tm.asp?m=4377940

You cannot de-select a unit. We fans of the SSG series and every other wargame out there find it very difficult.
