I've played WIF in various forms on and off for years but I find that I still don't know whether my USE is doing well or poorly unless it's drastically poor - then I notice.

Has anyone ever studied or posted what avg USE should look like month by month vs GE & JP as well as avg tension?

To keep it simple, the charts in post 4 and post 5 show when to expect Gear-up and War Appropriations.

Here is something closer to what you asked for. It gives the total expected values (on average) for the sum of all the USE pools (both entry and tension for both Ge/It and JP) for three main strategies - Barb 41, Barb 42 and Sitzkrieg. This chart is for RAW7 WiF and it is easy to spot how the release of the lower value NZ Pact chits impacts the totals because those chits go back to the draw pool.

Barb42 stays higher than Sitz because of the chits the US gets for the DoW on USSR.

Here is the same chart for MWiF. In MWiF the chits from the NZ Pact just disappear when Barb happens. Drawing them is independent of drawing the USE chits.
