German Turn 13, Movement Segment

The Pz IV H moves uphill to support the attack on the Tobacco Factory and discovers a 75mm Pack Howitzer.

"What the [unprintable], I never saw it, so it has HEAT! I'm going to lose another Pz IV!"

The 75 didn't fire as soon as it saw the Pz IV (To hit 10, DRM +2 for moving target, -2 for adjacent target = 91.6% chance to hit). Perhaps it is waiting to see if other targets enter in its LOS and will fire in the Defensive fire.

What shall I do now?
I can stop: the 75 will fire with TH = 10, DRM -2 for adjacent target = 97.7% chance to hit.
I can remain in motion: the 75 can fire with TH = 10, DRM +2 for moving target, -2 for adjacent target = 91.6% chance to hit.
Provided I survive the US Defensive Fire, I can fire in the Advancing Fire Segment, but my chances are pretty low (TH =8, DRM -2 for adjacent target, +4 for moving, +1 for being BU, +3 for target TEM = 2.7%).
I have to survive the US Defensive Fire Segment and the US Fire Segment before I can fire . The probability of two subsequent misses are 0.6% even if I remain in motion, so I decided to stop.

The 75 did not fire in the US Defensive Fire Segment.
The Pz IV fire in the Advancing Fire Segment - as expected - achieved nothing.
The 75 did not fire in the US Fire Segment.
The Pz IV fire Defensive Fire Segment destroyed the gun and killed its crew (here I had a bit of luck).

Episode 2

The Bison arrived first and discovered the 75mm pack howitzer in the German Movement Segment of turn #9.

My reaction - as usual - was an example of coolness: "What the [unprintable], I never saw it, so it has HEAT! It's going to pierce through the Bison!"

The 75mm never fired, even though it had six chances to do so:
- German Movement, Turn 9
- American Defensive Fire, Turn 9
- American Fire, Turn 9
- the German Movement, Turn 10 (other German units moved in its LOS)
- American Defensive Fire, Turn 10
- American Fire, Turn 10

The Germans, in the meantime, fired on the howitzer with all the available units in five fire segments:
- German Advancing Fire, Turn 9
- German Defensive Fire, Turn 9
- German Fire, Turn 10
- German Advancing Fire, Turn 10
- German Defensive Fire, Turn 10

and finally, in the German Fire, Turn 10, managed to break the crew.

Despite being under fire from a Bison, two Panzer IVs, five infantry squads and a couple MGs, the gunners never woke up.

Just in case, I made a little test scenario, and the 75mm pack howitzer CAN fire from a building.
