I know this is such a noob question, but I haven't been able to find any information on this. I just started trying to learn WitW, and started reading the players handbook. It says that if I select a unit or units in a hex, I should get a 'unit bar' on the right of the screen. I've looked it up in the main manual and see pictures of what it should look like. Unfortunately, I don't see anything - the unit bar does not appear. Have I somehow mistakenly turned this off? Is there something else I need to do to get it to appear?

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Ok - apparently it only appears when I click on certain units, a FOW thing. Sorry for the interruption.

It should be there. There is no way to disable it AFAIK. Just select the unit with left click and it should look like this:
