What, specifically is a normal / typical method of getting germans to africa? The germans have conquered France and there is no Vichy. However, I dont have german transports in southern France, I have 1 at Kiel?

Well unless you have Gibralter or plan on a land route via Turkey or Russia then only route is via Italian transport & navy I believe. You can use air transport but range is limited until you can build a large ATP.

Usually the Germans are transported by the Italians to North Africa.

It is also possible, once France is conquered, to use German transports that will need to first go to Brest and then can go to Bordeaux or West African countries that are controlled by the Axis.

there is a sneaky way. If you have unlimited breakdown, break down a corps into two non motorized divisions, have them transported by Italian warships, then remake them in Africa. I don't play with unlimited breakdown because of this...
