What was your first Naval War game on computer you played and which computer ? Name as many as you like...

Mine was Battlecruiser on C64.

then followed by Strike Fleet , Silent Service and War in the Pacific and Guadacanal by GG again on C64. Then I switched to PC and took up on Carrier Strike and Pac War and Guadacanal ( again ).

I still fondly remember the C64 versions.

I recall Power at Sea on C64. I played so much, that I could destroy 100% forts on every island, during landing, and it was enough to send only 300 Marines to take every Base.

Strike Fleet was great! Ships had so many AA missiles, that most sinking was done by those puny guns. I also remember Beach Head, Bismarck, and Iwo Jima/Okinawa by SSI, but there was hardly any sea action there.

If Iowa stayed , then the Russians were toast at the end of the large scenario...

I had a US-made "Dynabyte" before the HP (?) "286" - two floppy drives, no hard disk. Program on one disk and data on the other.

Also a MacIntosh (with the small, integrated, screen - not to be confused with my McIntosh audio gear..[:)]) ….on which I played an F-16
game. Don't remember its name, but that's another story.

Still have these oldies somewhere in the basement.

Fathoms 40 on the apple iic. If you failed on patrol you were demoted to private and sent to the eastern front.
Then Wings of Fury, we went all fancy and splashed out on a joystick!

Damn, there was Iowa? I always watched only at number of missiles carried :)
Now, I am wondering if it was possible to use those flying torpedoes against surface ships. I've never tried, as they were the only weapon, which could be shot against submarines.
And I also wonder, if those random rockets appearing suddenly in the middle of the sea, were launched by submarines, as I never detected any ship in that direction, even when I changed course, and searched whole area.

That was it! Often tricky to land, too. When you mention it the game box is still on a shelf in the garage.

another good one: "Strike Fleet"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strike_Fleet

but this one came later, most certainly in the same timeframe of excellent "Silent Service"

Don't recall its name, but it had four Pacific naval battles. Coral Sea, Midway, Santa Cruz, and Eastern Solomons, and it was on a C-64.
