Hello.
I'm searching for opponent who want to play on Soviet side.
I'm interested in medium long scenarios.
It will be my first PBEM game so please be patient :) I'm still learning.

My game is running latest Steam patch.

Hi, I'm happy to give it a try. I'm a newbie too. I have the game since the initial release but I never really played until recently. I just played a few scenarios and tried two GC with Germans (50/70 turns before I got my a## kicked !). So I'm still considering myself a newbie. I still have a lot to learn about the game (production, chain of command, advanced logistics, etc).

I never tried to play the Soviets but will be more than happy to try to defend Mother Russia!

I never played PBEM neither so we will have to learn it together. I think we can play through the matrix server instead of true pbem ?

So if you don't mind playing against another newbie, I'm the one ! Let me know. If you prefer to play against an experienced player, just say so, I will understand.

Otherwise I'm interested in a Great campaign 1941-45 with maximum realism setup.
- FOW and Movement FOW
- not sure about the "soviet combat bonus" [&:] [&:]
- not sure about other settings ...
- at least one turn per day
- I'm playing the steam version too

What do you think ?

Hello Nukxx.
First of all - I was searching someone who will play something smaller than GC, but in that case I'll give It a try :)
Yes We will play by Matrix server.
1941 Campaign will be allright.
FOW and Movement FOW will be on.
- Soviet combat bonus - I dont know :P Maybe someone smarter than Me will tell :)
Also random weather? And HQ locking?
What You think?
About turns - I don't know if I will make one per day. German turns are little longer than Soviet.
At least 3 turns per week? It will be ok for You? I try to do more but I can't give You a promise.

Cool ! Regarding GC, well, if at one point in time it becomes a pain we can just stop it :-). But who knows, we might just have a great game that will last for 6m-1Y or even more :-) I just thought that a GC would be a good opportunity to learn how to play the game properly :-) As far as I can judge by playing solo, things are becoming challenging and interesting as soon as turn 5/7, when Germans reach Smolensk/Leningrad, not to mention the first winter !! So hopefully we won't have to wait a lot before it becomes bloody, interesting and addictive :-) [:D]

- Random weather's OK for me.
- HQ locking too (not sure what it does exactly but no problem, it seems to be adding some realism ?)
- Regarding turns frequency, OK, no problem. Just play according to the time you can put into it. 3 turns a week is OK too ! Don't worry, no commitment. Enjoyment should be the rule :-)

Regarding soviet combat bonus, I will ask the question on the main forum. We'll see what grognards have to say about it :-)

What time zone are you in ? I'm eastern Europe (Bulgaria) GMT+2. BTW , I'm French.

So, as far as I'm concerned, I'm happy to give it a go !

What about you ?

Well, I don't have discord.
I think it's Ok to stay here, no ? At least at the beginning we can use the forum's PM system ? Then later we can switch on Steam. We'll see ...

I already asked the question about soviet combat bonus on the main board. Feel free to comment. Let's wait ...

Then when we have the answer you can setup the game on the matrix server. Don't forget to put a password :-) .
