I've tried readjusting the tooltip options and started various new games and save games but the problem is constant.

I uninstalled my toaw4 install before I installed the steam one. Is there anything I can try to make it re-appear?

edit: I originally thought it was the steam version that was to blame but it turns out it is the update.

Yeah I guess is broken now...

yeah, I think i'll just stick with the non-steam version just now.

Your right, when I reinstalled my non-steam version and updated it the tool-tips were still absent.
So its definitely a v4.1 bug.

I'm aware of it and sent a patch to production earlier today.

The mouse tool tips are back for me but this still remains a problem with the text on the bottom middle.
I put two shots together, ones of the menu and the other is in game, text over text when you hover over a button in the main menu and in game.

It looks like it's confused by the fonts for some reason.

Can you please delete the file called Opart 4 fonts from Documents/My Games/The Operational Art of War IV?

If that doesn't work, please launch a scenario, do some mouseovers, close it down and post the toawlog file from Documents/My Games/The Operational Art of War IV.

You nailed it Ralph, i forgot i had a custom fonts file. I changed some of the sizes/types, but it did work without issue before the patch. Thanks

I see you're using my mod. Be sure to download the latest version. I had to tweak the fonts in order to create the illusion of printed texts, but in the first version of the mod I had inadvertently changed the wrong parameter causing exactly this effect. Or you can just visit the mod thread. I have posted the way to correct it without a new download. Very easy to do.

I'll check it out. Does it include the counters? The do look awesome.

Not at home now. I believe it does as there's other county folders in the mod. I install using JSME so I can swap things around at will, mix and match things.
