Not a big issue, just noticed the Steam version has the 'sounds' folder in the game folder (Steam common apps), while the Matrix version seems to *require* the 'sounds' be placed in the My Games folder. Otherwise it just crashes.

Any idea if this difference is something intended and if there's plans to 'fix' this?

I am wondering in case there are every any major sound mods, if so where do we place the sounds?

If you get anything from the Steam Workshop then it gets put in the proper location. Personally, if I were doing it manually, I'd put anything that has anything to do with Steam TOAW game into the Steam directory as if it were TOAWIII.
