About Mine Sweeping

Hello, guys.

I did a funny test about mine sweeping. I made a mine field, and throw nuclear depth charge on the mine field. And, nothing happened.

My dream about easy mine sweeping is gone... [:(][:(]
Is there any plan about simulate mine destroying with explosives?

Destroying mines with things like FAEs, nukes, large numbers of conventional munitions and MOABs is sort of a complicated subject. Apparently in a lot of cases it just succeeds in shifting them around a lot, without necessarily making a passable lane.

That's actually a good question. Mines are small physically, which means that the overpressure/blast needed to fracture their vessel is much larger than for submarines. Correspondingly, the "lethal distance" of an underwater detonation against them will be much smaller than for subs. But how much smaller ?
