The Map was Fulda Gap, largest Size, centered approx on Großentaft.
Lots of Soviets coming in from the east
Called in a major artillery strike DPCIM, lots of Guns and Volleys on the largest possible Square size, with maybe a dozen or more target vehicles, some identified, some not, multiple spotters. I heard the Rocket-Sounds and zoomed out to see when the rounds arrive, when the game froze before I saw any rounds (Battletime was 3min 12 sec).

My machine:
HP Pavillion Notebook
CPU: INTEL CORE i7-7700HQ - 28GHz
RAM: 8GB
Operating Sys: Win10 - Home Edition
GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Resolution: 1920x1080 Driver version 416.16

Sorry, just spottet the the Infos in the Welcome Post:
Could´nt append the zip-file for DXDiag though, because the upload gives me an error "C:\fakepath\DxDiag.zip is not supported", even though I tried uploading from the desktop and the gamefolder located in "d:" (virtual partition).
There is no error.log file in the game folder, (yet[;)] ).

Desktop and the gamefolder located in "d:" (virtual partition) aren't real drive, so that's why you get a fake path statement etc, download folder or else where is ok

so you can't use a root drive, a VP or Desktop either i'm sorry to say, even saving or unpacking from these can give errors and has always been so in windows.

windows doesn't have the correct permissions to do as you request,

install the game as right click install as admin and into a none VP or external drive etc and once you have any files or folders or pictures to share, just save them to a folder will admin rights, which is your docs etc, download folder, music and pics etc, but not desktop, VP or anywhere else without admin rights, with no permissions to share from etc etc

without extra advice from the developer, i'm not even 1% sure you can install and run the game from a virtual partition either without some form of permission errors, my advice is install on a real none virtual drive and re test results, plus attach logs and files if possible to look into hardware and configurations etc.

as i'm 99% sure that will work as described once installed correctly and run correctly

game needs a hard drive, eg HDD / SSD or combo SSHD first run and installed with full administrator permissions etc

Hmm, tried the same scenario again, this time no crash, possibly because there were no rockets in my salvo.
AI fired a salvo of rockets though, and they arrived just fine (and deadly).

I played through the whole scenario (25 min) now, without a freeze.

I´m not exactly sure, whether your comments refer to the problems with uploading the DXDIAG (tried again, this time by uploading it from a memory stick and from root C:\\ in my pc, didn´t work either), or with the freeze-up...

(Edit:
I have an ssd as the C:\\ drive for the OS, and an HDD partinioned into D:\\ for all the rest, and e:\\, called recovery (came with the factory setup).
The game is installed in D:\\.
Does this help?

sorry that seems like a normal setup, it was you comments on the
Located in "d:" (virtual partition).
which made me wonder tbh

Image

just for an example, mine shown, test pc, so 2 physical drives, both partitioned with recovery drive shown, but no virtual partition used in windows 10

I just used that computer management tool and as far as understand it (no expert here...) the d:\\ partition where the game is located, is a primary partition, with e:\\ the virtual one.

Thx a lot BTW for sticking with me [:D]

no problem, the virtual one may have been your thumb drive one, which also will give a fake path message if you try and attach a zip here, it has to be from a administrator permission-ed folder

The account I am using on my computer seems to have all admin-rights, I believe.
Also, I tried posting the file from various locations, my recent try was from c:\\ root, using (shudder) Microsoft Edge...
so, should i post DXDIAG here as a comment?
Or get it to you some other way?

if you can host it elsewhere, one drive etc then share the link

just take out these two lines, then it matters little if anyone else see's it or not tbh, not that most would care, me included, but some do.

Machine name: BLANK
Machine Id: BLANK

or send it to me by PM here, but it will need to be either in txt or zip format and i'll attach or just read, your choice

Code: Select all

https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-components/how-set-default-graphics-card-3612668/

is my reply, the report mentions the monitor is attached to the wrong card, the onboard and not the Nvidia one, so is not being used

follow the advice in the above link to select the correct card and it will automatically default to the right one for the game and then won't cause the same issue
