Can we make a mod for different time frame?

This game's vanilla system limits the time frame from 65 to 91. Under these circumstances, can I make a faction for the game of 75~99, and set up 1999 game? Is there any possibility to collide with other factions which have data only upto 91?

Are you asking if your data slots will collide with the data that will be added in the future? We haven't decided which slots will be used in the future addons.

Sorry for late response. Let's say I made a faction database for 91~99 for US army, and 65~99 Dutch army. Then, can I make a game with current default faction (1965~1991 time frame) against 1995 Dutch army under 1995 game? Will it going ti make a crash?

This question is also linked with "Can we make a game with factions under different time frame?". If I want to play 99 game with 1999 mode, should I need to prepare all possible faction's data up to 1999?

Would be a lot of work for you, but I am all for it [;)] We know a WW2 mod can be created, and that would be tremendous work from scratch. But the question of modding certain factions/eras in the same custom database is a good one.

For my current project (Korean war), most of them will be copy and paste of USSR and USA from AB original, because both Koreans used weapons from USSR and USA for each. So I think it wouldn't take too much time & effort to unit model work for Korean war mod. The most of North Korean weapons and vehicles are Soviet & Chinese ones, especially their tanks are based on T-62 variants. Same goes to South Korea, their weapons are mostly US weapons, they used M48 variants as their MBT during the most of this game's time frame, and they are still using M48 series even now. Chrysler Defense developed K1 tank for Korean army based on M1 tank, Korean army deployed K1 since 1987.

I'm sure that any Arab-Israel war during cold war would be the same, they mostly used USSR/USA weapons, so a lot of model graphics & data can be shared. It wouldn't take too much time and effort. I think map is more than 50% for Korea or Israel mod, making a model graphic & database wouldn't be too much difficult IMO when compared to map work.

But WW2 is different story, one should make the whole model and database. This would be a painful work. I think making a modding team would be a better approach, I'm already getting some help regarding Korean war mod.

I didn't even think of the maps [8|]

I know a friend of mine would buy the game with a Mideast mod. And truly, we have enough WW2 stuff as it is. Also, some people are interested in the game on the Battlefront forum, which would make sense.

Anyway, your efforts are appreciated.
