Just went back to playing this game. I was watching a video and the player was not only able to get a line of sight from the current units hex but additional unoccupied hexes. I’ve tried everything fn L shift L control L. - nothing. What am I doing wrong.

With the LOS tool turned on, clicking on any unit will show LOS. If you want to see it from an empty hex hold shift (I use the right shift key, but both should work) and click in the hex (not on a counter or marker) and you will get the LOS from that hex.
