Coming up to the end of 2018

So the end of 2018 is very near, is there any news on this game? Been a huge Close Combat fan since A Bridge Too Far and was wondering if TBF will hit a 2018 release? [:)]

Scrolling through the forums here, I recall Matrix indicating it would most likely Not launch in 2018. Keep an eye out for the Alpha testing. This will provide more of an idea of when it will launch.

I don't think I am telling any secrets when I say it will not ship in 2018 
We are working hard to make it the game we all want it to be. Much of this is just iterating and polishing elements until they feel right and modern, and unfortunately this kind of grindy work doesn't lend itself well to news items or progress reports. But the game is getting better each day, and we think you will be glad we took the extra time. I can say that we can see the (beta) light at the end of the tunnel at least...

Thanks for the input Pip. You are correct that we CC fans don't want to be disappointed, so please check the details until it's released as an instant classic. Looking forward to its' release, but in the

As it seems highly unlikely we'll see a beta before 2018 is out, what are the chances we might get another update with a few screen captures or even a little in game video?
Think of it as a little Christmas gift for the poor souls who have been checking this site (almost daily) for yrs in the hope of a rumor or actual news.
