2.9.4 Naval abort through hostile seas - fatal error.

So the Germans were feeling bold, and went for some Faeroes Gap convoy raiding in the first impulse of M/A 1944. They managed to surprise the Americans on the reprisal attack, thus getting their desired convoy raid and a free return to port escape.

ONE PROBLEM (the bug): when trying to return to Bordeax from Faeroes Gap, they need to go through the Bay of Biscay. The Gneisenau had to go by itself from being aborted, so the Brits elected to intercept in Biscay. There's a crashbug that pops up (it asks for my email & asks to continue or terminate.) Continuing just results in a hang, so it's a fatal error.

It seems if the Brits don't intercept, moving through the hostile sea zone works OK. Unfortunate for the Brits this seems to be the workaround!

Can you state the search rolls for the FarOes Gap combat which were rolled and how the surprise point were spend? We need this information to simulate the abort. It makes fixing this one easier.

By the way: it looks like you've ran into the same problem we have in netplay and that's really unexpected. I thought this problem only existed in Netplay and not in solitair mode.

Faeroes Gap search rolls were Axis-1, Allies-9. Surprise points were spent on choosing surface combat, and minimizing damage I think (don't recall). After the combat, the Axis chose to abort the rest of the fleet.
