I bought the game. Downloaded the game. Then installed the latest patch from matrix page. WITP Admiral's Edition v1.01.24 Official Update

when I run the game after that it does not show that it is version 1.01.24. Instead it shows I am running version 1.7.11.24 2014.

I downloaded and installed http://www.matrixgames.com/products/351/downloads/

Am I perhaps not launching the right exe? or Is there something else I need to do? When I launch my game after installing the patch it clearly says top right version 1.7.11.24

What am I doing wrong?

11.24 is the latest official version, to the best of my knowledge.

There are some beta versions which are just as good as the latest official in a stickied post in this sub-forum. I highly recommend that you play with the absolutely latest (IIRC it is 11.26b).

Both my son and I bought the game last night. We are looking forward to playing this.

Quick Question regarding the Beta update. Am I right that it does NOT overwright the main game and is like a second version of the game therefore you can play one or the other?
