Is the Gateway to Caen a stand alone game that can be played separate from anything else or does one need to already have the Close Combat game engine to play it?

Its a seperate, stand-alone game. No other games or programs needed to enjoy.

It's a standalone game, and so doesn't need any other Close Combat game to be played.

When it's not a standalone game, it should be specified in the description, with a direct link to the needed base game.
