Extremely unrealistic possibility in Holland & Belgium

Currently its possible for the Axis to mount a major amphibious assault on GB on the next turn after the capture of Holland, Belgium or Le Havre while France is still in the war. Honestly the ease of Sealion is arguable in the game but to argue that the Axis could have taken Holland or Belgium or Le Havre and a month later, while still at war with France, mount a major amphibious assault on GB is just ridiculous.
A simple solution is to make port strength 0 when conquered by Axis from Le Havre to Holland, increase 1 pt per turn. Once France falls all ports go back up.

I am not convinced it is possible to launch a major amphib assault. The Germans are limited to how many amphibs they can use and it is early enough in the game that it is unlikely they have logistics or amphib tech to get more troops into the boats.

I guess it depends on what your definition of major is, it might be a stretch. I think you can amphib 2 with a couple of paratroopers right after you take Holland/Belgium.
I just prefer a game that has very solid historical "what ifs". Some prefer more of a "gamey" approach which is fine.
In the actual war the Germans weren't conducting any amphibious attacks until after France surrendered, imho.

True, but I am not sure your solution helps. The Germans can launch the invasion from their own ports and achieve almost the same effect. They really do not need the Dutch and Belgian ports.

True many more turns to get there from Germany

The westernmost German port can get an amphib to British soil in one turn (following the loading turn) if I remember right. They have fewer choices for beaches then one from Belgium but two turns and they can get there. In any case the Royal Navy can (and probably should) blockade the coast.

If the German buys a Maritime bomber and uses other bombers with subs it will chew the RN to shreds. French Navy probably the best idea.
My issue is it isn't near realistic

UK Just needs a few defense units - also where is RN?

One thing I've pondered today is whether the ability Germany has to buy 1 more Paratroop unit than the Build Limit would normally allow is an issue, given that it receives 1 via a Decision Event and can buy 2 others early on too. Meaning it can potentially have 3.
If so there might be a solution to it, that would prevent Germany from having more than 2, but I don't want to introduce it unless there is a very strong consensus that this would be an improvement.

Sorry I'm not totally on subject but it is relavant to this subject as well.
I strongly feel para should be tone down in term of attacking power (losing 0.5 in attack maybe) and air power should only be able to reduce moral when the target unit is below a certain strength level (maybe 5?). Damage could be then transformed in additional strength damage.
But Paras should have some supplies even when cut down from their lines (maybe 5 then 1 less per turn).
This would make one turn invasion of some countries much more hazardous. LOndon fall and its dire consequences, Turkey and Sweden one turn invasion that kind of ruined the diplo game in europe at war. Also solves a bit the same thing for Alger and co. Still doable but you'll need either luck or maritime power to support you, or at least to engage your 2 paras.

The purpose of the thread was to discuss amphibious attacks on GB before France surrenders, not paratroopers.

Of course, but a significant component of an invasion of the UK is often provided by the paras, hence they are a valid subject of discussion too.
Sometimes the solution to an issue isn't necessarily achieved by focusing on what appears to be the problem, because the answer can lie in thinking around it and seeing if changing something else is an easier or better solution.
Additionally, in terms of making the game better, I am interested in feedback from everyone who plays it on the whole subject of the ease of invading the UK, and it's a lot easier to have this subject covered in one thread rather than in multiple threads.

In FWII (WiE) I added the below to help protect the UK from Sealion. The result was it made Sealion much harder.
- Event to send Canadian troops to Britain (historical) early winter 1940 for Garrison duties
- Conscripts in training take up arms (under strength units formed South/East of Manchester) - The Home Guard is represented in game, but what of all the conscripted men in training? If the UK was invaded the British would have thrown these guys into battle green or not I would think.
- Secret Irish Protocol - I read that their were plans for part of the RAF to re base in Ireland if the UK was under attack. I added a DE for the UK to plan for this, and Ireland would join the war if Sealion occurred, if not then it was just wasted MPP.
