Time of Fury

Hi, this game really looks like Time of Fury. Are there significant differences or it's just a kind of more modern version with better graphics ? Is it worth buying if I already have TOF ?

i'v played a few hundred hours of ToF before recently getting this game and ToF is unpolished and unfinished compared to SC:WIE
if you like ToF you will definitely enjoy this game!

Same here, I would not hesitate. Also, this game have quite good mods.

But now that SC World at War is out why should I buy SC:Europe ? I mean the eastern front with the risk of a japanese attack is a totally different story for the soviets. In terms of strategy, this certainly adds a lot to the game. So my guess is thatif I buy one, it should be SC:WaW. And also the pacific naval conflict must be very interesting too ... What you guys think ?

I agree with you that Pacific adds much more to a strategic game like this. The US player must also balanced between Germany first or Japan first. But, since you ask about it, Time of Fury was on Europe only if I remember well.

I still remember the SC2 times... there was an european theatre and a global version and I had them both. In fact the war in Europe was by far more interesting. But maybe it is a question of taste and of course it is a different game. I think I will try the other version too sometime but I'm still so happy with this one that I don't need a new challenge.
...and don't have the time anyway.

And I notice that the scale is different.
- 100km/hex and two-week turns in SC:WaW
- 20km/hex for SC:Europe
I definitely prefer SC:Europe scale !!!
PS: Yes TOF is about the European conflict only.

It was a little more detailed yes. The naval part was fun with the possibility to create your own convoy. There were also more land/air/naval units. But, you have mods out there for Strategic Command WWII War in Europe that add much more unit density. Also, I find events mechanism much better with Strategic Command WWII War in Europe.

Thanks, I activated the Strategic Command WWII: Community Pack from Steam. It says it's in my library but I don't see how to play any mod ?
What should I do ?

Fall Weiss II is geared towards PBEM. The AI is fine as well, but they get lots of help [:)]
