Is there a Combat Loss summary available that shows the names of the units? I really miss seeing that the Ark Royal was sunk for example. The Detailed Losses under the Reports section provides a good overall Loss of unit types by country and what I am wishing for is a way to see the names of the actual units that were lost/killed in combat.

For now, the name will only appear during the last turn summary phase for your opponent.

There is one kind of record, but it is attached to the unit which (in your example) actually sank the Ark Royal.
Right-click on the unit, choose "Honors", et voila, there is you individual unit combat result.

All that is missing in the game is some kind of in-game database, collecting all this information, with an option to search for individual units (where is it on the map, how often was it when where on the map destroyed, which units did it destroy itself (and when, and where on the map).
